A domain transfer process may take upto 5 days to complete. In general, it all depends on the time taken by the losing registrar (your current registrar) to confirm the transfer. Once after completion of transfer, you will be acknowledged through an email notification along with all necessary information about the process.

Note: There should not be any lock with your current registrar in order to complete your domain transfer process.
